Squad Persistent Missions, and Cross-chatter in vent - Suggestions

Me and Jon spoke at lunch today and thought it would be a good idea if each squad had persistent missions that they were to carry out when there isn't a big OP going on. For instance Alpha's persistent objective could be rations (food, drink, medical supplies), stock pile on those items and bring them back to base. Bravo's could be weapons and ammo, Charlie's could be vehicles, parts...etc.

I like the big OPs we do, but I feel that it's all we've been doing lately and I miss the small group missions. It's fun to have to go into dangerous areas where we KNOW there are people around that will try to kill us, rather than just worrying about the possibility of a random sniper as we travel from place to place in a big group. Keeps things interesting...what do you guys think?

Also, this will help with the vent channel being over populated and the constant cross-chatter that's been happening lately. When we are all in the room together, we should be using professional comms, meaning that the Squad leaders are the only people who are to speak unless spoken to (or if it's an emergency like incoming fire or target acquired). In the Army, radio etiquette can be the difference between life and death. As far as video games go, I used to be in a big clan on Xbox Live where those rules were strict, and if you ever heard the words "Clear Comms!"...that means people are forgetting the rules, and they need to shut up and listen. They worked great and it created a tier of respect.

I also think we should start using a program like Mumble where you can see who is talking in an overlay on the game. It gets kinda difficult to know who is talking just by their voice.

I love these suggestions! I think it would be great way to keep everyone busy while waiting for the big group OPs. Plus I agree on the radio chatter. If you want to chat or socialize, we can do it on the main channel. The 1-4 channels will be reserved for small group OPs. I also have one of the channels (The Legion) secured. Meaning its password protected. This will still allow need visitors on Vent to hang out on the regular channels while team members can do an OP with secured coms.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Max, awesome suggestions that I think will add a lot to the platoons. Also, any ideas on vent channels can be discussed and I will be able to get those made and squared away. I will begin looking into overlay programs for vent that will allow you to see who is talking, I know there out there. All in all you guys have been doing an outstanding fucking job! JP your doing awesome things in my absents! Keep up the good work everyone!
